Together in Tradition: Onam Through the Eyes of Our School Family

ONAM CELEBRATION

St Monica English Medium School joyfully celebrated Onam and white Day . The program began with the prayer followed by  a vibrant KG dance representing the white day celebration, School Choir presented melodious Onam songs that set the festive tone. Our students captivated the audience with a graceful dance depicting the spirit of Kerala’s Onam festival.” , and a thoughtful Onam speech by highlighted the true spirit and values of the festival.

“On the occasion of Onam, one of our studentds dressed up as King Mahabali (Maveli) , symbolizing the legendary return of the noble king to his people. His presence reminded everyone of the values of equality, prosperity, and happiness that are associated with Onam.

 Principal Sr Sharmila, inspired students with her encouraging words, while the teachers’ special dance performance added warmth and joy to the celebration.

On this occasion, the winners of the Notice Board Decoration Competition held for Independence Day were also announced and given prizes. Our Manager, Fr Melwyn D’Souza, blessed and motivated the students with his valuable guidance.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Shreenandha (Grade 9) and distribution of sweets, filling hearts with festive cheer. The celebration beautifully reflected the values of unity, tradition, and happiness that Onam stands for.
