“Paws, People & Protection: Rabies Awareness Day at St. Monica”

Anti-Rabies Awareness Programme

An informative awareness class on anti-rabies was conducted during today’s school assembly by Junior Health Inspector Mr. Adarsh and Junior Public Health Nurse Mrs. Varsha. The session aimed to educate students about the causes, prevention, and immediate measures to be taken in case of animal bites, with special emphasis on rabies – a fatal yet preventable disease.

The program was held in the presence of our School Manager Rev. Fr. Melwyn D’Souza and Vice Principal Fr Suraj Joseph Lobo . Students from Grade 1 to 10 actively took part and listened attentively. The resource persons explained the importance of timely vaccination, staying away from stray animals, and how to respond in emergency situations.

The session was highly beneficial and helped raise awareness among students about protecting themselves and others from rabies through simple but effective measures.
