A Day of Patriotism & Pride: 79th Independence Day

79th Independence Day Celebration at  St Monica English Medium School, Kumbla

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great pride and patriotism. The program commenced with the school band, , escorting the dignitaries, including Manager Rev. Fr Melwyn D’Souza, Chief Guest Rev. Fr Rupesh Ashok Madtha, Principal Rev. Sr Sharmila, Vice Principal Fr Suraj Joseph, PTA Vice president Mrs Yamini Naveen Kumar, School Academic secretary  Mrs Archana Prabhu, Mrs Sneha Madhavan, Asst Manager Federal  Bank and other dignitaries to the stage.

The celebration began with a prayer song, followed by the flag hoisting, national anthem, and flag song. The march past by the students showcased discipline and unity. Speeches in Hindi, English, Malayalam, and Kannada reflected the significance of the day and our gratitude to the freedom fighters. Patriotic songs in multiple languages and a vibrant dance performance added cultural richness to the occasion.

The Chief Guest addressed the gathering with inspiring words, followed by messages from the Manager  motivating students to contribute towards building a stronger nation.

A special highlight of the celebration was the student formation of the number “79,” symbolizing 79 years of freedom. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, the distribution of sweets.

The day was a fitting tribute to our nation, filled with pride, unity, and the spirit of patriotism.
