Republic Day Spark: Joyful Performances & Flag Unfurling

The school celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great pride and patriotism. The programme began with the escorting of the dignitaries by the school band, which added grace and discipline to the occasion. This was followed by a prayer by the school choir, invoking blessings for the nation.

The programme continued with the welcome address by Deeptha of Grade 8. The National Flag was then hoisted by the School Manager, Rev. Fr Melwyn D’Souza, in the presence of In-charge Principal Rev. Sr Sharmila, Staff Secretary Mrs. Archana, PTA Vice President Mrs. Yamini Naveen Kumar, and Parish Pastoral Council Secretary Mrs. Vijaya Kumari.

A well-coordinated march past by the Parakeet, Robin, Purple Finch, and Flamingo Houses reflected unity, discipline, and teamwork among the students. The significance of the day was explained by Sanvi Rai of Grade 8, highlighting the importance of the Indian Constitution.

The celebration was enriched with a patriotic song, followed by the address by the Principal, Rev. Sr. Sharmila, who motivated the students with her inspiring words. A colourful group dance showcasing unity in diversity, yoga poses, and a mass drill added energy and enthusiasm to the programme.

The prize distribution ceremony was held to honour the winners of the Kho-Kho competitions, including Under-14 Girls Runners-up, Under-14 Boys Champions, and Under-17 Boys Champions.

The programme concluded with an inspiring address by the School Manager, Rev. Fr. Melwyn D’Souza, followed by the vote of thanks by Riona of Grade 9. The celebration ended on a proud and patriotic note, leaving everyone filled with love for the nation.
